Launch of Italo Project of NTV

The 13th December it has been launched Italo project of NTV ((Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori), the first private operator on the Italian high speed rail network.
NTV is also the first operator in the world to use the new Alstom AGV train, the train currently holds the high speed train record (574.8 km/h).
The AGV is based on a brand new concept, being built to travel at 360 km/h, in addition to being the only train to satisfy in full all the latest European specifications of interoperability (STI 2006), as well as European Union and Italian standards on safety and the environment. The trains operated by NTV will hold 460 passengers in a total of 11 cars (length of train: 200 metres) and will travel on the Italian high-speed network at 300 km/h. There will be 25 trains in the NTV fleet.

In the same date, it has also been launched the NTV Depot in the Nola Campano Interport. An area of 3,500 square meters has been completed with an annexed pair of tracks and loading dock and it is dedicated to activities such as sanitizing and train inspections. In this area, NTV has installed a Ceccato washing unit with properties that are unique among products of this type. It can wash the special nose of the train Italo, when it is driving through the car wash unit. That means that all wash operation allows times and space saving. Both NTV and Ceccato base their mission on technology ad innovation.
